Strata

A speculative material study. The vase was 3D-printed in clay, its layered walls left full of ridges, cracks and creases, then glazed to see how the glaze behaves on that surface: where it pools, seeps into the gaps and breaks over the edges. The printing process sets up the conditions; the glaze decides the result.
