Who I am

This is the privacy policy for karmojarv.com, the personal portfolio of Karmo Järv (based in London, United Kingdom, and Tallinn, Estonia). It explains the little data this site touches and how it is handled. In short: this is a simple portfolio, it does not sell anything, and it does not build profiles of visitors. Your data is treated with care.

What I collect

The site does not ask you to sign in, does not run advertising, and does not collect personal information from you as you browse. The only time I receive your details is when you choose to email me, in which case I have your email address and whatever you write.

Why, and on what basis

If you get in touch, I use your message only to reply and, if it leads somewhere, to discuss the work. That is on the basis of responding to your own request. I do not sell data, run aggressive marketing, or track you unnecessarily.

Hosting and infrastructure

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and email to contact@karmojarv.com is routed by Cloudflare and delivered to my inbox on Google (Gmail). Like any host and mail provider, they process basic technical information needed to serve the site and carry email securely, such as your IP address and browser type, under their own privacy terms. Some of these providers operate outside the EEA, including in the United States, with appropriate safeguards in place. I do not share your information with anyone else.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, so no consent banner is needed. Your browser may keep small technical preferences locally, but nothing that identifies you. If I ever add analytics in the future, I will add a consent step and update this page first.

How long I keep it

Email correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful, and no longer. You can ask me to delete our exchange at any time.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to how it is used. Just email contact@karmojarv.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, for example the ICO in the United Kingdom or the Andmekaitse Inspektsioon in Estonia.

I may update this policy from time to time. The current version always lives on this page, with the date above.
